And, if they are prescribed by a healthcare provider, are ordered for a specific person. It is important to know how to properly take medications. Below are 10 reminders for your safety. 1. Follow the instructions on the label: whether prescription or over-the-counter (OTC). Research has been done to determine how take medications for the best response.
